Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assurance Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent role based within the Capital Delivery Safety and Sustainability Team (S&SD), reporting to the Assurance and CDM Manager, and will be engaged on a range of projects from major programmes to smaller renewals frameworks. The person for the role will ideally have experience of auditing and data reporting. They will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, inquisitive person with a keen eye for detail. Job Responsibilities:

  • Management and maintenance of data reporting systems and Power – BI dashboards.
  • Review assurance findings and data for trend analysis.
  • Provide reports on findings within S&SD and within Capital Delivery.
  • Liaise with Network Rail Eastern Regional teams on assurance activities and trending.
  • Reporting of key accident and incident reporting data.
  • Carry out audits, management reviews and deep dives on safety and sustainability topic areas within Capital Delivery Eastern.
  • Support the relevant health and safety specialists and sustainability specialists within delivery teams in respect of reporting management.
  • Management of actions from audits, management reviews and deep dives.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrable understanding of risk assessment/loss control tools and techniques
  • Proven experience of being output driven, prioritising work to deliver on time and taking ownership in their role
  • A keen eye for detail combined with an inquisitive mentality that are key to successful audits.
  • Proven experience of information management on different platforms.
  • Relationship building. This role is a key relationship holder within CDE but also within the wider Eastern region and therefore active participation in collaborative meetings will be required.
  • Internal auditing experience or equivalent and practical experience of completing audits
  • Demonstrable ability to make timely decisions and to think ahead
  • Proven experience of effective team working, helping and supporting others and sharing knowledge skills and experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of the project management lifecycle.
