Job Description:
The successful candidates will be expected to carry out a range of duties associated with catering, to include the service of food and beverages to pupils along with cleaning tasks. Previous experience in a busy catering environment or busy school environment is essential. Catering staff are contracted to work at any site in North Tyneside and can be asked to re-locate depending on business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cleaning of the kitchen, dining area, it’s surrounds and equipment. Operation of a cash till / computer terminal.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- To assist in the preparation of some food items. The service of food and beverages to all customers, ensuring that a high standard of customer focus is maintained at all times.
- Working in a kitchen environment.
- To meet the set standards on each catering site.
Job Requirements:
- Full training will provided
- Good time management skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (assessed at interview)
- Ability to work to deadlines.
