Job Description:

In this role you will lead the strategic partnerships between Network Rail and Northern and TPE working cross functionally within the business you will implement our joint vision and ensure we are focused on a One Railway – One Team approach. As an agent for change you will drive and embed the next generation of partnership working throughout the organization, working closely with external partners where necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Northern’s input into policy and regulatory change matters, such as Periodic Review Process.
  • Leads Northern’s commercial interface with Network Rail and the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) in respect of the commercial terms in the Track Access Agreement and the supporting suite of commercial and regulatory arrangements.
  • Leading the development and implementation of the culture change programme focusing on changes to ways of working and a move to One Railway One Team
  • Lead the develop of our common plan to ensure the partnership agrees and delivers joint objectives, supporting the One Railway One Team philosophy
  • Develop, agree, and continually review the scope of the partnership between the parties. Identify partnership principles and governance framework to support delivery of One Railway One Team
  • Provide cross functional strategic leadership of all aspects of the Network Rail Relationship. Map out the relationship interface to ensure all aspects are working well with governance in place, make recommendations for changes/improvements where necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Proven success in redesigning business processes to implement faster and smarter ways of working
  • Track record of building effective working relationships with peers, internal customers, and suppliers
  • Extensive experience of stakeholder management with well-developed influencing skills
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven collaborative Leadership skills
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory framework and industry access contracts
