Job Responsibilities:

Definition of a team structure and roles for the infrastructure delivery team based on business and technology requirements
Representation of non-public cloud technology infrastructure in business and technology forums to educate forums on the role of infrastructure delivery, challenge where appropriate and assess the impact of planned changes
Identification of improvement opportunities to improve non-public cloud technology infrastructure and/or the infrastructure delivery team including skills, knowledge, tooling and automation
3rd line support for the non-public cloud technology infrastructure during in operational hours and out of hours through on call structure
Shift left approach to enable 1st and 2nd line support and IT operations to provide effective support and minimise the use of 3rd line for non-public cloud technology infrastructure
Assessment, acceptance, integration and adoption of planned changes to the non-public cloud technology infrastructure
Compliance with non-public cloud technology infrastructure standards
Definition of non-public cloud technology infrastructure standards (where appropriate)
Development of the infrastructure delivery team members in relation to performance and career development
Work alongside the Head of IT Service Management & Operations and peer colleagues as part of a leadership group to provide an effective IT service management and operations capability for the group
Patch assessment, acceptance, integration and adoption for the non-public cloud technology infrastructure
Maintenance release and update assessment, acceptance, integration and adoption for the non-public cloud technology infrastructure
Line management of the infrastructure delivery team members
Delivery of change to the non-public cloud technology infrastructure
Deputise for the Head of IT Service Management & Operations

Job Requirements:

Technology experience including a number of:
middleware and integration (message bus, file transfer, api,)
Managing technical teams
local, wireless and wide area networks
Team performance management
infrastructure security (firewalls, intrusion prevention, data loss protection, anti-virus / malware, encryption at rest / in transit)
physical and virtual servers, and operating systems
storage, back-up and restore, and archive
Non-public cloud technology infrastructure change delivery in a large enterprise
Non-public cloud technology infrastructure support
Team career development plan management
end user devices (desktop, laptop, tablet, handheld)
